«Europe was silent… And silent again…»

«Europe was silent... And silent again...»

Europe was silent... And silent again...
History, it seems, teaches nothing!
One hundred years lasted the Great War!
Europe was silent all this time...

Europe was silent... And silent again...
Although Ukraine cried and shouted!
Begged for salvation from the barbaric hordes!
Europe was silent...

Europe was silent... And silent again...
And Syria now is not moaning — it’s screaming!
Rages Moscowian Horde in Aleppo!
Europe was silent again...

Aleppo is drowned in its own blood,
The lights are put out at the Tower in Paris
In a sign of silent sympathy, but that's all...
Europe was silent... Now...

Europe was silent... And silent again...
Now Ukraine, exhausted by war,
Defends Europe from the wild hordes...
Europe still silent...

Europe was silent... And silent again...
Europe's in fear, Europe is trembling...
Even when Kyiv will be bombarded —
Europe will keep being silent...

Europe was silent... And silent again...
But what if Moscowians come to attack
London, Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam?
Wake up, oh wake up, madam!
